The TAC L2P program is a state wide initiative managed by the Department of Transport and funded by the TAC. It aims to assist young learner drivers who do not have access to either a vehicle or supervising driver to achieve the compulsory 120 hours of driving practice that is now required before learner drivers are able to obtain a probationary licence. Volunteer Mentors support one or more learners to engage in a minimum of 1hour driving practice per week using one of the L2P vehicles. Free training is provided to Mentors, with opportunities to upskill throughout.
