Warrnambool Neighbourhood and Community Centre

Warrnambool Neighbourhood & Community Centre (WNCC) is a welcoming, safe and inclusive community space commi ted to bringing people together to connect, learn, participate and contribute. We welcome people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities and aim to create a strong, connected and supportive community where everyone feels valued and included. WNCC provides a wide range of low-cost social, recreational, educational and wellbeing programs for children and adults. These include children’s playgroups and community garden activities, community lunches, book exchange, drop-in coffee sessions, arts and crafts, health and wellbeing activities, and opportunities for people to develop new skills, build friendships and participate in community life. Affordable and accessible activities provide opportunities for social connection, relaxation, physical activity and improved wellbeing. We also provide practical community support and advocacy, offering a safe and friendly place where people can access assistance with internet use, forms and applications, online government rebates and referrals to appropriate services and organisations. Supporting people experiencing financial and food insecurity is an important part of our work. Through our Open Pantry and food hamper programs, we provide access to essential food and support for individuals and families who may be doing it tough. Volunteers are at the heart of WNCC, helping deliver programs, services and activities. Through collaboration with volunteers, community members, local organisations and partners, we work to build a resilient, inclusive and connected community where everyone has the opportunity to belong, participate and thrive.
