Holiday Actors Inc is a not-for-profit organisation run by a volunteer committee, dedicated to providing opportunities for the performance and display of performing arts for young people aged 13 to 20 years in Warrnambool and surrounding districts. A major musical production has been performed by Holiday Actors in January each year since 1986, with an average total audience of over 2,000 people. Holiday Actors provides a valuable opportunity for young people to gain confidence, work as a member of a team, learn the value of belonging to a community group and participate in local events for the benefit of the wider community. It is estimated that during its lifetime Holiday Actors has involved well over 1,000 young people, many of whom have returned to pass on their experience and skills to others. Holiday Actors' success results from a partnership between young people, their families and friends, volunteers and a range of local people, businesses and organisations, and the company enjoys strong community support and goodwill.
