The F Project is an Artist Run Initiative (ARI) based in Warrnambool, Victoria. Established in 2008 The F Project aims to encourage and support contemporary artists, contemporary arts practice, creative exploration of social issues and engagement with the community through arts projects that contribute to individual and community development. Acting as a lobby voice for the provision of facilities and programs where artists can produce and exhibit work, where artists and the community can work together, and where a range of information and support services are available to artists and the community, the F Project is a positive force in shaping the cultural and creative life in the SW community. F Project members are very active on Facebook and Instagram (thefprojectarts), and regularly post News and Events in the region. The F Project emails out a monthly newsletter containing not only F Project activities and events but other arts related activities in the community and nearby towns. The F Project has a gallery exhibition program and a retail shop which showcases the work of local artisans. It also has working artists studios which are open to the public twice a year. The F Project Residence is part of the complex and provides affordable accommodation and shared facilities for artists, writers, performers and musicians. The space is also available for guests via Airbnb. The F Project Cinema Film Society is a standing committee of The F Project and is a member of the FVFS. FP Cinema screens arthouse documentaries and feature films on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at Mozart Hall from 7.30pm. New members welcome. Another initiative is 'Story Club', a writers' group, which is held on the third Wednesday of the month at the F Project at 7pm. It is hoped in the future that Story Club will be able to build a Regional link with Writers Victoria.
