Overview

What the library can offer you:

Glenelg Libraries has three branches, the Library Outreach vehicle and a home library service. Glenelg Libraries is a part of the Libraries Victoria library consortium giving members access to more than 2.5 million items and over 100 libraries across Victoria free of charge.

Our libraries provide comfortable spaces to read, browse, study, research and mingle. Each branch has FREE public PCs and wi-fi available for use. Our staff are a friendly, helpful and professional resource at your disposal.

The Portland Library has a large and small meeting room available for hire. Volunteer-run groups can use the facilities for free, during normal business hours.

Library membership is free.
Borrowing is free.
Most events and programs are free.

Charges apply for copying, printing, late returns, damaged or lost items.

Portland Library open daily Monday to Saturday and late Thursday evenings.
