The Lions Club of Heywood is a voluntary group of local community minded people assisting our local community in a wide range of events. Our members cover a very large age group and we would welcome any younger members to assist us with our fund raising events. The money raised is donated to local groups to assist them in purchasing items etc. We have a number of events we tackle each year but our main fund raising is achieved by our Auction, paper recycling, catering and wood. We have a catering trailer and a cool room. Assistance is always welcome especially with our paper recycling and wood collection. The Heywood volunteer groups are always working together for the benefit of our community. We are happy to be involved with Hearing Dog Australia and we have sponsored a hearing dog for a resident in Heywood.
