Oxfam Australia Warrnambool Group

Overview

Oxfam Australia exists to contribute to a fairer world by overcoming poverty and injustice, challenging the structural causes of poverty, empowering people to control their own lives and fostering long-term change and sustainability. Oxfam also provides emergency aid to victims of natural disasters such as the recent earthquakes in Nepal. See the Oxfam Australia website for details of the organisation's work.

In Warrnambool we concentrate on fundraising and, through our events, raising awareness of the aims of Oxfam.

Our yearly events include a film night, garage sale, book sale, Walk and meetings with speakers.

We hold a committee meeting each month, 4th Wednesday at WDEA, 52-54 Fairy St., 5:30 pm. New committee members would be most welcome or you can join our list of supporters and receive information about events via email. Volunteers to help with our events during the year are always needed.
