Hockey South West

Overview

We are an emerging association in the south west of Victoria catering for senior and junior players from across Warrnambool, Moyne, Corangamite and Glenelg shires.

Hockey South West is one of the most innovative and affordable hockey communities in Australia. We were the first association to embrace the new Hockey5s format of the game: a fun, fast and high scoring games on a smaller 40 metre by 23 metre pitch surrounded by "rebound boards" that keep the ball in play more often. Hockey5s has proven very popular with people of all ages and fitness levels and is a big hit with schools. We also offer the more traditional form of 11-a-side full field hockey.

We welcome new players of all ages and abilities to join and we offer free come and try sessions for people interested to try. Our divisions include under 12 mixed, under 14 mixed, under 16 mixed, open women and open men. We also offer introductory clinics at 9am on Saturdays in autumn and winter during the school terms and training on Wednesday nights which is open to all (including new members).

Hockey South West is well equipped with a flood lit synthetic field, pavilion and changing rooms.

The field is available for hire. Please send a request using the email form in the footer.

Field Location: Albert Park, Warrnambool

Enter from Cramer St just opposite Wildwood Cres. The field is located behind City Memorial Bowls Club.

Parking is plentiful.
