Girl Guides have been offering programs for girls and young women for over 100 years. We cater for girls from age 6 and run weekly meetings across a range of activities including leadership, self reliance, crafts, outdoor skills, cooking, budgeting, camping and peer group support. We tailor meetings to suit the girls range of abilities and interests and every girl has the opportunity to work towards a peak achievement award. We also offer leadership and volunteer opportunities for young women and adults. We are always looking for that special person who would like to volunteer as a leader or helper on a long or short term basis. Girl guides have always been in the forefront of caring for our environment and we even take these ideals to our camping activities. Girls are encouraged to take part in community service not just with us but at school and in the wider community. We are happy to join with other groups to work on service projects or other activities.
We offer a district outdoor camp every year and also join with our region for indoor camp for younger guides and a region craft day . We also try to have a region training day annually for girls or adults.
