Lyndoch Living

Overview

Lyndoch Living, providing care and support for you to lead a life that is uniquely yours

Historically Lyndoch's services focused on residential care for our aged community and retirement living. In recent years Lyndoch has broadened its scope of service to embrace community based and in-home services. The primary focus of these community based services is to maximise individual potential, and to either delay admission to, or provide an alternative to permanent residential care.

Our Vision
By recognising each person for the individual they are, we will strive to provide them with the specific services, care and support they need to enjoy a lifestyle that is their own – dignified, engaging, fulfilling and rewarding.

No experience necessary, just time and dedication

Volunteers are an important part of Lyndoch Living. They support us to enrich the lifestyle of our residents and clients by creating a diversity of activities and experiences. The presence and participation of volunteers provides the residents and clients with valued companionship, and keeps them connected and engaged with their community.

Most volunteers who become part of Lyndoch Living do so because they simply wish to help. Some use volunteering as a stepping stone to further employment, others as a learning experience as part of their studies. Our residents and clients are all unique individuals who have something to offer their community and volunteering provides an opportunity for many of these individuals to maintain that link.

As a genuinely rewarding experience, volunteers quickly discover just how much they contribute to the community through volunteering. Many of our volunteers comment on how they develop a real sense of belonging, or how fulfilling it is to do something small that has the ability to greatly enliven a person’s day in some way.

From simple acts of talking to a resident, to helping out on an outing or even bringing your own hobbies to our home, every contribution is most appreciated. Volunteers at Lyndoch Living follow their own interests by engaging residents and clients through music, outings, cooking, gardening - the list is endless. If you have any ideas for how one of your unique skills can be put to use and would like to be involved, we’d like to hear about it. We are committed to introducing opportunities which will further enhance resident and client lifestyle and a positive attitude towards it.

If you have a willingness to learn and be involved and can offer just a portion of your time, please register your interest online or contact us directly at Lyndoch Living to find out how you could enliven the day of a resident or client in some way.
