As we are now a friends of Red Cross Group
we do the same as a Branch but we decide what we will do by group discussion.
At the moment we are a small group, mostly in the over 60's age group but anyone, any age, or gender are welcome to attend our activities as long they are willing to abide by the principles of Red Cross.
Most of our activities include an element of fundraising as well as other social activities.
There are chances to visit and see other branches at Zone meetings and Conferences.
There is a another section of Red Cross which we support and that is Emergency Services which trains and prepares for disasters such as fires and floods. This could be for a single incident of major event. At present we are recruiting more people so a team can be set up within the Glenelg Shire. There are many roles within this team.
Competitions and social afternoons. Depends on what the group decides but mainly held within Heywood for our local events.
