BirdLife Warrnambool (formerly Sou’west Victoria Branch of BOCA) was formed in 1998 and while a majority of members reside in or close to Warrnambool membership extends across south-western Victoria from Timboon in the east to the South Australian state border in the west.
With members having moved from the district over the years but still staying in touch and with visitors to our outings and campouts being very impressed with our friendly group, membership has now spread as far afield as Melbourne and Adelaide and as far north as the central coast of New South Wales.
Birdlife is a national organisation so members are entitled to attend activities across the country. Further information can be found at http://birdlife.org.au
We are a social birding group, holding a monthly outing on the first Saturday of every month except January, usually within a one or two hour drive from Warrnambool and organising one or two campouts to places further afield during the year.
