Overview

AgFutures is a new agriculture workforce development solution that is being led by the Brotherhood of St. Laurence in partnership with a group of industry, TAFE and community partners across the Barwon South West region of Victoria.

FOR EMPLOYERS
AgFutures offers an opportunity to shape the design of a fit for purpose local workforce solution and the opportunity to employ young jobseekers looking to build a career in agriculture.

FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
AgFutures offers 6 months paid employment with a local agricultural employer, an accredited training pathway delivered by South West TAFE and wrap around support for building employability, connection with the agricultural industry and pathways to a range of on-farm and off-farm career opportunities.

FOR THE COMMUNITY
Through working in partnership in place, AgFutures aims to build an enduring solution to workforce development that can be adapted and scaled to meet the needs of other high growth and high demand industries in the Barwon South West region and across Victoria.
