The Club was formed in the early 1940's and is situated on the banks of the Hopkins River at Jubilee Park Road, Allansford. With approx. 60 members the club undertakes around 16 fishing competitions annually attracting both singles and families alike.
The club prides itself on a family-friendly environment and includes winning categories for seniors, ladies and juniors. New members are always welcome!
Competitions are held across the south west including the Hopkins River, Glenelg River, Aire River, Curdies River, Yambuk Lake and Fitzroy River and include both one and two day events.
Prizes to be won at the scheduled competitions along with the monthly heaviest fish. Weigh in centres are located at: APCO Service Station, O'Leary's Store Flaxman Street, BP Road Pantry, Allansford Store, Wangoom Store, Panmure Store, mcDowalls Nullawarre Store, Yambuk Store, Nelson Kiosk and Peterborough Store.
Members are provided with a quarterly newsletter providing news from around the district, dates for competitions and social outings and baits and tips from local anglers.
The Committee meets monthly at the clubrooms and all current and new members are welcome to attend.
